Translation of documents
If you submit documents or parts of documentsin a language other than French or English, you must provide:
the document in the original language, in the format indicated (original, certified true copy or photocopy).
the original of the complete translation done by a recognized translator
The translation must include the translator’s name and seal.
All elements in the document in the original language must be translated. This includes seals and signatures.
Note: If the original document is written in French or English but includes a seal in another language, you must absolutely have the seal translated. Each translation must be stapled to its corresponding document in the original language.
Abroad
In order for translations to be recognized, they must be done by:
a translator who is a member of a professional order or who is authorized to act professionally as such;
a translator from the translation department of the embassy or consulate of the country or territory that issued the original document (if applicable);
a translator from the translation department of the institution that issued the original document (if applicable).
In Québec and Canada
In order for translations to be recognized, they must be done by:
a translator who is a member of the translation department of the embassy or consulate of the country or territory that issued the original document (if applicable);
or a translator who is a member of:
the Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec (OTTIAQ);
the Association of Translators andInterpreters of Ontario (ATIO);
the Society of Translators and Interpreters of British Columbia (STIBC);
the Corporation of Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters of New Brunswick (CTINB).
Translations done by a non-recognized person will be rejected.
The Ministère keeps all originals of translations you submit.
如果你提交的文件(或文件中的部分)是非英语或法语的,那么你必须同时提供如下材料:
--文件未经翻译的原始语言版本(注意仍需按照要求的格式来提供:原件,或经公证的复印件,或复印件)
--经由被认可有资质的翻译员所翻译过的文件原件(很绕口,就是翻译件本身不可再复印)
-翻译件必须包含翻译员的签名、印章。
-原文件中所有部分都要翻译,包括签名、印章。
注意:假如提交的文件本身就是英语或法语,但是印章不是英法语,那么你必须翻译印章。所有的翻译件必须和相应的原件订在一起。
关于【经认可有资质的翻译员】的解释(加拿大及魁北克以外地区):
--经认可或授权的职业翻译员【至于魁北克怎么鉴定中国的翻译员是否职业翻译员就不清楚了,在中国也没听说有professional order for translators,职业翻译公司应该是有资质的吧?】
--文件颁发国或地区的使馆领馆的翻译部门的翻译员(如果有的话)
--颁发文件的单位或机构的翻译部门的翻译员(如果有的话)
