翻译：恰当选句

　　翻译时基本上是以句子为单位来进行的。所以为了确切地表达原文的意思，为了使译语读者能接受，必须按照译入语的规范恰当地组织每一句译文。这就要求在译文词语顺序的安排，语气、时态与语态的表达，以及复合句的结构和虚词的使用方面， 都尽量符合译入语的语法规则和修辞习惯。下面我们举例说明:
　　1) In the oil-bearing zone the high fluid withdrawal rate caused an unstable, segregated displacement of oil by gas, where the viscous forces overrode the gravity forces.
　　在油层中，若粘性力的作用大于重力，采液速度高就会使气体驱油出现不稳定和分散现象。
　　分析:译文根据中文习惯，把where从句译到前面，即采用了倒装形式。
　　2) It has also been demonstrated that the emplacement of these gold veins are kinematicaly related to the movement of individual thrust sheets.
　　这也业已表明，确定这些金矿脉的位置系与单个席冲断层的动力运动相关。
　　分析:原文的被动语态到译文里变成了主动语态。
　　3)当接通雷达系统的试验功能时，则一幅醒目的测试图便会出现在显示器上。
　　When the test function of the radar system is activat- ed a distinctive test pattern is shown on the display.
　　分析:原文是主动语态，而却采用了英文科技文体中常用的被动语态。
　　4)接通断琳器盘上的所有断路器。
　　To engage al circuit breakers ton the circuit breaker panel.
　　分析:原文和译文都采用了同样的句型，因为此句在英语和汉语都可用祈使句式表达。
　　5)当发电机发电并接到发电机(负载)汇流条时， 发电机控制装置便接通通往均衡器汇流条的均衡电路。
　　The generator, control unit shal complete the equalizer circuit to the equalizer bus when the generator is ener- gized and connected to the generator (load) bus.
　　分析:译文同原文语序不同，采用倒装译法。另外，中文的逗号英文中没有。
